My daughters and my sons, I have loved you from the beginning; I do not stop and start. This day belongs to us so let me shower you with my love. I never stop loving you or falter now and then. I can be trusted to the very end. You are of my own body and blood so why would I change my mind about you. There’s no changing my mind about you because I have loved you since the very beginning. There is nothing you can do to change my mind about you.
Correction comes at times when it’s needed, but never to chastise you in times when it’s heated. I do not discipline you as a father should not, out of fear or anger or resentment. My disciplining comes from a place of my love to guide you and lead you on the path needed for you. There is nothing that I would not do for you, that’s why I sent my Son to die on the cross. I have given you everything you need to take you from where you are to where you need to be.
Cling to me, learn from me, and be one with me everyday of your life. Do not give in to the temptations all around you, but live for me instead. I am the voice to follow when you don’t know what to do. I will stay by your side when the temptation is too great for you. I will never you or forsake you and leave you to fend for yourself. I am a constant companion to guide you through this life.
There’s so much more awaiting you in eternity. I can give you glimpses of what is in store for you, but I don’t want to ruin your surprise. Stay with me and do not falter from what I’ve called you to. The victory of your life will be so much sweeter if you stay focused totally on me. Nothing will be too hard for you if you stay close to me. I will give you all that you need to do the tasks I’ve called you to do.
Compromise is not what I want for you. I want you to open your eyes to the full package of benefits I’ve given to you at the death, burial, and resurrection of my Son at the cross. You need to look deeper and see what I’ve done for you and all that I’ve freed your life from. You no longer have to be a slave to fear – for that is the character of your enemy. Look deeply at my character and all you will discover is love. My love for you is what I have given.
Communication is what is needed on a daily basis with me. Communication is crucial to living a life that is full and free. When you stop talking to me, your life goes astray. Stay close to me and let my closeness be like the air that you breathe, desperately needed each day of the week. Return to me, your first love, and breathe my life in deeply. Come to me on bended knees and seek the life that’s so needed.
1 Corinthians 11:23-26 The Voice
23 I passed on to you the tradition the Lord gave to me: On the same night the Lord Jesus was betrayed, He took the bread in His hands; 24 and after giving thanks to God, He broke it and said, “This is My body, broken for you. Keep doing this so that you and all who come after will have a vivid reminder of Me.” 25 After they had finished dinner, He took the cup and in the same way said, “This cup is the new covenant, executed in My blood. Keep doing this; and whenever you drink it, you and all who come after will have a vivid reminder of Me.” 26 Every time you taste this bread and every time you place the cup to your mouths and drink, you are declaring the Lord’s death, which is the ultimate expression of His faithfulness and love, until He comes again.
Hebrews 12:5-6 The Voice
God “disciplines” His “disciples.” God is training us not just to live here and now, but to have life in the age to come, to share His life and holiness.
5 Indeed, you seem to have forgotten the proverb directed to you as children:
My child, do not ignore the instruction that comes from the Lord,
or lose heart when He steps in to correct you;
6 For the Lord disciplines those He loves,
and He corrects each one He takes as His own.

13We all experience times of testing, which is normal for every human being. But God will be faithful to you. He will screen and filter the severity, nature, and timing of every test or trial you face so that you can bear it. And each test is an opportunity to trust him more, for along with every trial God has provided for you a way of escape that will bring you out of it victoriously.
