Gird Up Your Loins!

Gird up your loins and join me in the battle today. Make preparations to learn to fight and stand your ground against the enemy of your soul. He hates the ground you’ve taken and he hates the mantle you carry. He cringes at the thought of your victory. He hates the very air I have given you to breathe. Do not be naïve and think you’ve just got everything in the bag. But gird yourself up for battle each and every day, ready and armed for each hour of the day. No weapon formed against you shall prosper and my armor and protection must be put on every day.

Do not underestimate the attacks of the enemy of your soul. He wants nothing more than to harm you and stab me in the back. But I AM watching over you and watching and guarding your back. I have got you covered from the top of your head to the bottom of your toes, you have my armor and protection girding and guarding you for every battle you face. You are my Bride; my blessed and anointed ones and I will guard you and guide you wherever you go.

Put on the helmet of my salvation to cover your mind from the vicious attacks on your thoughts. You must guard and protect your thoughts by remembering and speaking out loud my scriptures over his lies. My Word trumps everything that is thrown your way. Remember, my Word is your king thought over everything thrown your way.

Cover your heart and guard your back with my breastplate of righteousness. You have been robed in my righteousness and made holy and pleasing unto me. There is nothing left of your old self in my view of you. You are a shining example of my love gift to you. Nothing can penetrate your heart or put a catch hook in your back to claim you’ve done this or that when you have my breastplate of righteousness covering every attack. Remember who you are in me and how there’s no longer any sin in you as you stand face to face with me.

Firmly and tightly wear my belt of truth around your waist. What has been attacking your gut is an absence of my truth. Do not let the lies of the enemy disturb your mind, then digest it and let it settle into you. Take every thought captive and bring it to the obedience of Christ and all your gut issues will subside. You are the master and guard of your mind, so do not let these thoughts coming to you get the best of you. Guard well and let nothing distract you.

Where is your sword? Grab your sword! Never leave and start your day without my words of truth and the Spirit to lead you through your day. My Spirit will lead you and guide you into all truth all throughout your day. He will never lead you astray. Keep your sword held high to show the enemy you mean business! Every fiery arrow shot in your direction will be stopped with a downward slash of your sword. So, keep your sword of my Spirit in ready mode to slash through the lies of the enemy.

Before you walk out the door, put on your shoes equipped with the Gospel of Peace. My peace, I give to you freely, my peace covers you completely. There’s no reason to fret or to fear when your feet are able to securely stand in my peace that surpasses all understanding. The enemy of your soul will come at you when you least expect it, so continuously be ready to stand firmly against his attacks.

Last but not least, hold up closely to your chest my shield of faith, remembering who you are in me and all that I’ve created you to be. Stand strong in what you know of me, remembering all I’ve done for you. I have deposited the faith in you so remember to hold it close to you when the fiery arrows are being hurled at you. Nothing can tear away the deposited faith in you, except when you give way to the lies of the enemy.  

I have equipped you for everything brought your way. You are never alone, for I am with you continuously. I have done everything I needed to protect you in every way. You’ve been blessed with every spiritual blessing to take on anything coming your way. Let my fragrance be showered all around you, inundating you with the reminder of my love. I am with you, my love, and I have totally got you every day.

Ephesians 6:10-18 New Living Translation

¹⁰ A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. ¹¹ Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. ¹² For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.

¹³ Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. ¹⁴ Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. ¹⁵ For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. ¹⁶ In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. ¹⁷ Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

¹⁸ Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.

⁸ Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you.”
