What is stirring your heart today, what clouds your thinking? What holds you back from coming closer to me? What disturbs your mind and keeps you awake at night? Could it be you’re not coming to me and spending the necessary time that is needed to be free of all these thoughts in your mind?
Rest your mind in me and be resurrected in me. Let me carry the burdens that continuously weigh you down. You’ve carried them long enough, so why don’t you hand them over to me? Are my arms not big enough for all that you carry? Is there anything too big for me? Do you think I don’t know what you carry?
Release these burdens over to me and let me satisfy your deepest longings. Put your hand in mine and walk with me and share the burdens that you’ve been carrying. Know that there is nothing I cannot handle. There is nothing that shocks me. I am holy, but I know every single part of you and all that you are thinking. You can’t hide anything from me, for I made you into who you are.
Come to me and share all your deepest thoughts with me. Let nothing be held back, let nothing cross your mind that you keep to yourself. Everything that goes through your head needs to be laid bare, here before me. Stop carrying all these burdens around thinking this is just the crown you were born to carry. No! I say no! This is not the way I created you to live. You were created in my goodness and you were created to delight yourself in me. You were made to have deep communion with me and share your every thought with me. I made you to have relationship with me and be one with me.
Count your many blessings, but cast all your cares upon me. Come to me each morning with everything you carry and lay each burden before me and I will give you clarity of thought. I will help you dismantle every thought and help you think like me. You will then begin to think and see these issues just as I do and gain my Heavenly perspective to guide you.
This time spent alone with me will be the best counseling session you’ve ever received. This time alone with me will set your heart free. Free from the burdens of sin in your life and free from the guilt you carry. Freedom to live your life one day at a time with me. Cast all your cares upon me, for I truly care for you.
