I’ve never aspired to be a writer. It was never in my plan. This calling came to me while I was seeking out the Lord during my time of intimacy and prayer. I’ve been chosen by God to write about my experiences and to share with others the deep relationship I have with Jesus so that many more may come to know him in this way. Honestly, as a follower of Jesus I can’t help but share my joy and passion for him, it just comes gushing out of me naturally. It’s hard to not talk about the person you love.
The Manna From Heaven section started in 2020 when I changed up the flow of my prayer time in the mornings. I was instructed to get a journal and simply ask the Father, “What is on your heart today?” I waited quietly until I heard the first line or phrase and then obediently wrote down whatever I heard. Then I would hear more and more words, and kept writing until I knew he was finished speaking. The next thing I knew, I had written 2-3 pages of notes! I was blown away by all that God had to say. I told him, “Wow, Father! You sure have a lot to say!” He replied, “I’m always speaking but my children aren’t always listening.” So what you’re reading is what I’m hearing the Father speak directly to me in my time alone with him. Most of what I’m hearing is directed to the Bride of Christ and I now feel it’s my responsibility to keep going to him and receiving his messages to help encourage and direct (us) his children. I don’t feel comfortable in calling myself a writer, but I feel confident in saying I’m the LORD’s scribe. In fact, that’s what he told me one morning so I’m good with that. When I’ve received compliments on what I’ve written, I tell people, “I’m not a great writer, but I take good dictation.”
Another little tidbit about me is that I love photography. It started out as my hobby years ago and as I began to self-educate, I started getting asked over and over to take people’s portraits. So for the past seven years I turned it into a business and I really enjoyed helping people capture beautiful moments in their life. In recent days though, I’ve decided to step away from portraits and just focus on my first love, which is nature photography. There is a time and a season for everything and right now the Lord is calling me into a season of pouring out what He’s poured into me. It is my prayer that as you read the things I post, that you will be inspired, encouraged, and lifted up to see things as you may have never seen them before; to see things from the Father’s perspective and know his heart for you. God is so good and he loves us so much and I pray that what you read here inspires you to go deeper in your relationship with Him.
Your blog sings of the beauty of Christ & your walk with him! Keep listening & writing… hugs
